Sifting Through the Rubble

King Tut hears no evil, Fundamental Pete sees no evil, David Douglas speaks no evil

Please enjoy the stunning conclusion of our two-part series, Fundamental Pete's Ass-Jammery Exploits the Recall.  The highlight had to be our guest of the last 40 minutes, TV journalist David Douglas, who talked about covering the Recall Election, his new endeavors based out of Chicago, and the Family Feud.  Other fanstastic segments include Career Entry with the Career Admiral, Com-Paris (Obama/Romney), Lacey's News, The Confessional, and a Richard Dawson Tribute Edition Lame Show.  Scheduled guest 'Citizen' Dave Cieslewicz was too distraught about the results of the Recall Election to join us- apologies to those who tuned in to hear him.  We look forward to having him on another show.  Good times- thanks for listening and sharing!

Red Carpet Recall Preview

Our two-part series, Fundamental Pete's Ass-Jammery Exploits The Recall, got off to a great start.  I began the show by announcing my sixth un-retirement from the restaurant business.  Emily Mills of dane101.com defeated an uncooperative elevator to make it to the studio, and provide some cogent thoughts on the recall process and social networking.  WTDY's Dylan Brogan didn't remain quite as impartial, but the dogged enthusiasm of this lifetime Madisonian journalist was infectious.  Lacey's News wrapped up a jammed-packed show that went by quick.

Tune in LIVE next week for Fundamental Pete's Ass-Jammery Exploits The Recall Part II with guests Dave Cieslewiscz and David Douglas: Thursday, June 7th, 9-11am, WSUM.

Energy

We were very excited for our move to Thursday mornings, and clearly our first show was a rousing success.  In fact, it was so good, State Senator Fred Risser dropped by immediately afterward to present us with a commemorative plaque!  Turns out that Risser is a huge Ass-Jammery fan.  Of course, I'm just kidding - the award was actually in recognition of WSUM's recent 10th Anniversary, and quite well-deserved.

Today's Ass-Jammery is also worthy of State recognition (IMHO).  Preston Schutt from Wisconsin's Focus on Energy was a great interview, pulling back the curtain on how the state makes decisions about energy usage and policy.  We talked about Neil Degrasse Tyson's recent visit to Madison, a leaked Obama smear campaign, and the woman who smuggled pills into jail in her vagina.  Artifacts was full of Civil War battles (as usual).  And to close things out, the pièce de résistance: King Tut and I listen to the Time Capsule we recorded a year ago, and then make a new one for next year.  Thanks for listening!

Deep Thoughts and First Times

During the Ass-Jammaroo-palooz-a-thon I Auction, longtime Madisonian Ricardo Paoli outibid everyone else to win the coveted opportunity to Host an Ass-Jammery.  Rick opens the show by telling about his brush with one of the most infamous serial killers of all time.  I tell some stories of silly luck, and we finally start the Ass-Jammery.  We talk first times, quantum physics, Scientology, the Recall Scott Walker primary vote, and Obama's support of gay marriage.  Over the course of the show, I recite many classic "Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey.  King Tut brings some Artifacts from a huge day in history, Engine Adam runs the sound effects with precision, and a call from my Mom!  Excellent Ass-Jammery- thanks for listening and Happy Mother's Day!
